«No. La Hornet non è tornata come nuova. È tornata come me: riparata dove serviva, segnata dove conta. Porta ancora l’ammaccatura sul serbatoio. Un’ala ferita che, per scelta, non ho voluto raddrizzare: il punto in cui la luce si spezza, raccontando la verità. Una piega del metallo che non chiede scuse, ma attenzione.
È lì che la memoria torna a farsi viva.
Respira. Adesso non posa più immobile: dopo tanto silenzio, il suo motore ha ripreso a “pulsare”, a ringhiare.
La strada la accoglie e la sua forcella dorata torna a riflettere il mondo, un po’ dolorante e insicura, come quando stavo imparando a stare di nuovo in piedi. Eravamo insieme quel giorno e lo siamo di nuovo oggi. Non un trionfo, non una celebrazione, ma un ritorno con una nuova consapevolezza.
La bellezza non sta nell’essere intatti.
La “cicatrice” non è qualcosa da nascondere, ma un simbolo da portare: ciò che sopravvive all’impatto non è ciò che resta o torna perfetto, ma ciò che, ancorché “ricucito”, va avanti con una storia in più.»
