“Gaze Transformation”

It was 2020 when I took my first steps in portrait photography.
Many of those photos have remained unpublished up to now, and many of them will probably stay that way.
For some of them, I wanted to “close my eyes” – let them “mature” – until the time (and the photographer in me) was ready to perceive and “see” them without that immediate, “hot” emotional aura that could have influenced my editing. Time – it’s true – transforms our gaze.
With today’s photos, I wanted to share some of these portraits, ranging from the austere and sculptural poses of the professional Andreea Alexandra Guzga to the spontaneous poses of the person Alexandra.
Who knows, I might share more in the future… stay tuned!

“Trasformazione dello Sguardo”

Era il 2020 quando iniziai a muovere i miei primi passi nella fotografia di ritratto.
Tante di quelle foto sono sin qui rimaste inedite e molte di queste lo rimarranno probabilmente ancora.
Su di esse ho voluto “chiudere i miei occhi” – farle “decantare” – finché i tempi (e anche il fotografo in me) non fossero maturi per percepirle e “vederle” senza quell’alone di sensazioni “a caldo” che avrebbe potuto condizionarmi nell’editing. Il tempo – è vero – trasforma il nostro sguardo.
Con le foto di oggi ho voluto offrirvi alcuni di questi ritratti spaziando tra pose austere e plastiche della professionista Andreea Alexandra Guzga e pose spontanee della persona Alexandra.
Chissà che non ne condivida degli altri più avanti… stay tuned!
